NCCC
Guidelines
1. The purpose of NCCC is
to promote Paint Horses and to encourage participation at participating
clubs' shows.
2. The only functions of
NCCC are to keep points of participating club shows, collect membership
dues and purchase Year End Awards. NCCC may hold fund raising
raffles at shows.
3. The treasury account is
to be used only for awards, printing, mailing and points keeper
fees.
4. Treasury reports will
be mailed quarterly to each participating club secretary to publish
in the club's newsletter.
5. Participating clubs may
rotate hosting the NCCC Awards Presentation. NCCC may not be the
host.
6. Term of office for elected
officials is January to January.
7. For officer elections,
club reps will elect a Chairman, Vice Chairman, Secretary and
Treasurer.
8. All information received
by the chairman will be forwarded to the Secretary and all Reps
and points keeper.
9. There will be at least
three NCCC meetings of reps and committee members. Reps may represent
only one club.
10. Voting: like CCC - the
club reps bring suggestions from their club, then reps vote at
NCCC meetings.
11. NCCC meeting minutes
will be mailed or emailed to club secretaries and NCCC representatives
12. Point standings and membership
lists will be posted at each NCCC approved show and on the NCCC
website.
13. Show results must be
submitted to the pointskeeper within 20 days of the end of the
show. Failure to comply
may result in a $25. assessment.
14. In the event of a dispute,
the NCCC reps shall interpret and make specific these rules, and
their determination shall be final.
Eligibility
1. To compete for the NCCC
awards, membership is required in at least one of the participating
clubs.
A copy of the registration papers of nominated horses must be
submitted with membership application (even if you submitted papers
last year, you must submit a new copy for this year). Current
year foals must submit name and reg. number of sire and dam on
nomination form and Regular papers must be submitted prior to
the close of the last NCCC show. NO EXCEPTIONS! NO POINTS WILL BE AWARDED UNTIL A COPY OF THE
HORSE'S REGISTRATION PAPERS HAS BEEN RECEIVED BY THE NCCC SECRETARY.
2. NOMINATIONS AND MEMBERSHIPS
WILL BE ACCEPTED BY SHOW SECRETARIES AT APPROVED SHOWS PRIOR TO EXHIBITING.
The $20.00 NCCC membership fee (single or family) plus $15. per
horse must be paid before points will count for that horse. THERE
WILL BE NO EXCEPTIONS! Leadline
and Walk-Trot children will be included in their family membership
as no horse needs to be specified.
3. Individual club and NCCC
membership dues must be paid in full prior to a show for that
show to count.
4. Youth and Amateur awards
will be based on a one horse-one rider combination, except for
leadline and walk-trot classes, where points will be earned by
the rider rather than the horse.
5. Youth and Amateur or members
of their immediate families must own their respective horses for
the year-end award eligibility according to APHA rules. Open class
points will be awarded based on APHA rules -- Sec. 2 under Elgibility
(for membership) to apply. A lessee will be considered as the
owner of a leased horse for the purpose of year end awards points.
A copy of the lease must be sent to the NCCC Chairman.
6. For Open All Around Horse,
all open performance and halter classes will count. Must earn
a minimum of 5 points in performance AND a minimum of 5 points
at halter to qualify.
7. Stake or Futurity classes
will not count toward any year end award.
8. All outstanding debts
owed to any participating club(s) must be paid by November 1.
Participating clubs to notify NCCC of any outstanding bills owing.
Points
1. Points to be tabulated
in the same manner as CCC, as published in the California Paint
Horse Directory, except that NCCC will award extra points for
Grand and Reserve Halter. - the same as APHA. (Excluding weanlings
and yearlings).
2. Members must earn 5 points
minimum per category to qualify for a year end award.
3. Ties will be broken in
the following manner: 1) The horse that beat the other horse the
most times in head-to-head competition. 2) The horse that competed
in the least amount of classes. 3) The horse with the higher placings
in a class throughout the approved shows. 4) If two or more horses
are still tied after the above tiebreakers, an official tie will
be declared and duplicate awards will be given.
4. Green Horse will follow the guideline
of APHA.
5. Yearling Versatility must
show in Halter, Longeline and In Hand Trail at least once in each
category with a minimum of two judges per category.
6. All shows sponsored by
participating clubs will count for points (except for Paint-O-Ramas
& Youth/Amateur
Shows for 2011. Starting in 2010,
75% of your best Shows (Judges) will count towards your Year End
Award. Example: 24 Shows (Judges) Your top 18 Shows (Judges) will
count - 75%. If an odd number of shows are offered, the Committee
will determine the amount of Shows that will count for that year.
7. Decisions of the NCCC
board of reps will be final. Submission of nomination form by
applicant acknowledges that the applicant has read the NCCC guidelines
and agrees to abide by them. By submission, applicant also agrees
to hold NCCC, it's volunteers and participating clubs, harmless
for any legal or civil liability. NCCC is only an awards program
and is not liable for any loss that a member feels they may have
incurred due to discrepancies in points or the method used in
tabulating them. Final
Point Standings will be final two weeks after being posted on
the NCCC website. Check your points - it is your responsibility. NCCC reserves the right to refuse
a nomination.
