Directions from San Francisco: East on I-80 to West Sacramento and follow signs towards Reno. Go past El Camino Ave. exit. At the next exit follow signs towards Redding (I-5). Go past Del Paso Blvd. exit and follow the signs for Hwy. 99/70 to Marysville/Yuba City. Continue approximately 10 miles. Exit at Howsley Road. Go to stop sign and turn right. Continue 5 miles east (Howsley becomes Sunset Blvd. W. at the Placer County line). We are 7/10 mile past the county line on the left. If you reach the stop sign at Brewer Road you went too far. Sign at drive with SP on it.
Directions from south of Sacramento: Via Hwy. 99 thru Stockton to Sacramento take the I-80 exit ramp to San Francisco. Then take the I-5 turnoff towards Redding. Continue on I-5 through Sacramento. (*Motel accomodations at Richards Blvd. exit.) Take the Hwy. 99/70 exit towards Marysville/Yuba City. Continue approx. 10 miles. Exit at Howsley Road. (it will say Pleasant Grove). At stop sign turn right. Go approx. 5 miles - Howsley Rd. becomes Sunset Blvd. West at the Placer County line. We're 7/10 mile past the county line on the left side. Sign at drive with SP on it. (If it's dark there is a street light over the drive-way entrance and visible from quite a distance). Via I-5, stay on I-5 through town and follow above instructions.
Directions from Lake Tahoe on Hwy. 50: Stay on Hwy. 50 through Sacramento, take I-5 north and proceed as above (second sentence of directions from south of Sacramento via Hwy. 99).
Directions from Reno on I-80. I-80 through Auburn and take the turnoff to Lincoln (Hwy. 193). Go to second stop sign and turn left. Go 1/4 block and turn up the hill (don't go under overpass). Continue on Hwy.193 approx. 10 miles (the first 5 miles are winding). Hwy. 193 dead ends in the town of Lincoln (no motels) at Hwy. 65. Turn left on 65. Go south on 65 out of town until you see Industrial Rd. (rodeo grounds are on left). Turn right on Industrial. Turn right on Athens (the next road). Athens dead ends into Fiddyment Rd. Turn left on Fiddyment. Go 1 mile to Sunset Blvd. West (the next road) and turn right. Continue on Sunset Blvd. West. The next stop sign is Brewer Road. Stay on Sunset--we're the second house on the right (approx. 2 blocks). Turn in the drive-way with the sign (SP).
Directions from Roseville on I-80. Riverside exit (north), left on Cirby, right on Foothills Blvd., left on Baseline Rd. Go seven miles to Brewer Rd., turn right and proceed 5 miles to Sunset Blvd. West. There is a four way stop at Sunset & Brewer. Turn left and go to second house on right. Sign with SP at drive entrance.

From Reno on I-80, Forresthill Exit before the town of Auburn. There should be a motel on the east side of the freeway. (approx. 45 minutes from stable)
