We have researched the health benefits of negative ions in the
air. After reading the book, "The Ion Effect" by Fred
Soyka, we thought that the negative ions might be beneficial
to my father, Howard, who was in a serious auto accident in July
2006 and sustained a traumatic brain injury. Negative ions in
the air have been reported to improve oxygen to the brain, alter
brain waves, and stimulate mental alertness. We have seen a definite
improvement in my father's condition since adding salt lamps
and ionizers to our home. Negative ions benefit us in many ways
and not just mentally. Polish Salt Lamps emit negative ions and
are a natural way to increase negative ions to the air in a home.
Not all salt lamps emit the desired radius of ions but we were
fortunate to find a reliable source of quality Polish salt lamps.

It is an honor to again be nominated for CCC's Horseman of

Industry and it has given me the opportunity to meet so many
very special people. I have made so many friends during the past
thirty plus years that I've been showing Paint Horses.
Our friend Jennifer Aufill has moved to southern California.
Jennifer is engaged to be married in December and we wish her
much happiness in her new life. Jennifer was our Sierra Paint
Horse Club president and I have now assumed the presidency (again)
after our vice-president was unable to assume the office. Thank
you to everyone who is assisting me to continue the activities
of our great club.
Get well wishes go to our friend, Carol Pchelkin, as she
recouperates from shoulder surgery. Carol was at a horse show

We sadly report that it was necessary to have our beloved
Border Collie, Zee, euthanized on January 19 due to pneumonia.
Zee was a shining star in our family's life for over 13 years
and she is greatly missed. Zee joined our family at 14 months
of age and quickly learned the routine of caring for horses,
helping move foals and of course locating any cat who happend
to slip in to the house and hide. We are privileged to have known
and loved her.
Several years ago, I was privileged to be associated with Beau
Melgreen, a very talented country singer/entertainer who worked
the Sacramento and Reno/Tahoe area for many years. We value our
long friendship with Beau and his wife Vicki and they now have
a web site offering a CD with Beau's songs. Please visit beaumelgreen.com - the
CD will be available shortly and there will be more to come in
the future. You will not be disappointed.
