PURPOSE
The purpose of Sierra Paint Horse Club is to improve the breed of Paint horses by the promotion and advancement of the Paint Horse breed through the conducting, sponsoring or encouraging of Paint horse shows, racing, sales, and other Paint horse related activities, in a manner consistent with established principles of breed improvement. SPHC is a regional club affiliated with the American Paint Horse Association.

LOCATION
The principal place of business is the eastern SacramentoValley and the foothills of the Sierra. This encompasses the following counties: Amador, El Dorado, Nevada, Placer, Sacramento, Sierra, Sutter and Yuba.

MEETINGS
SPHC holds regular general meetings on the second Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm. The current meeting location is: ROUND TABLE PIZZA, in the Brickyard Shopping Center at 4010 Foothills Blvd. (at Baseline Rd.) in Roseville. Board meetings are held the fourth Wednesday of each month at 7:00 pm. Contact a board member for exact location each month. Meeting dates and locations are subject to change for unforseen circumstances and conflicts. Confirm dates and times with an officer listed above.

ACTIVITIES
Year end awards are presented to the high point winners of SPHC shows at our annual awards banquet. Winning horses must be owned by a current member of SPHC. Members may reside outside of SPHC county boundaries or out of the state of California.

 
 
 


NCCC - SPHC is a participating club of the Northern California Championship Circuit (NCCC). All SPHC shows have point approval for owners who have nominated their horse(s) and paid the appropriate fees. For further information on this awards program, contact Lindy Williams at (916) 662-5430. Please note that membership in SPHC does not automatically enroll you in this program.

Breeders Classic Futurities for foals sired by nominated stallions and out of nominated mares. Early and late classes for current year colts and fillies are offered in addition to yearling longe line and two year old performance. Breeding stock foals are may show. For information contact

Stallion Service Auction. Owners of selected stallions are invited to participate. Breeding services are sold to the highest bidder at the auction held during the Sierra Classic Paint O Rama. Monies generated from the auction are added to futurities for the resulting foals. The stallion owner donates the breeding service and is also eligible to enter one foal by the participating stallion. For further information contact the Stallion Service Auction chairperson listed above.

Open halter, longe line and performance futurities with added money and awards are held during the Sierra Classic Paint O Rama in September.

Congratulations to Jennifer Aufill on her engagement to Tommy Mitchell of Fontana, CA. Jennifer resigned as our president and has moved south to her new position with Fed Ex and her new life. We wish her the very best.
