Points CCC (State)
Points CCC helps keep Paint horse owners aware of the news within the national association, California clubs, and throughout the horse industry. CCC maintains a calendar of shows sponsored by the APHA chartered clubs within the state. This is to insure that there is not more than one APHA show on the same day, making it impossible for owners to exhibit their horses at every opportunity. CCC requires that all clubs mail CCC approved shows premiums
to all members of every California club. CCC sponsors a Year-End Awards Banquet to publicly recognize the winners. Every year CCC publishes the California Paint Horse Directory,
which is mailed to every member of a local club. The directory
contains the following: To earn state points, the owner of the horse must be a current member of a California club. An exhibitor may show at all approved shows, but only the best 25 judgings will count toward any one award. Futurities and money classes do not count toward any CCC award. A horse/amateur/youth must earn points under 7 judges and earn a minimum of 20 points in the specific class to qualify for a year-end award. The Walk-Trot High Point and class awards will remain at 11 & Under (APHA is 5-9 years). Clubs will specify that the CCC walk-trot classes (11 & Under) are the only ones that will count towards the year end High Point and class awards. In order to receive an award, all debts owed to any California club must be paid in full. Clubs may hold as many APHA approved shows as they want to, but only six judges by each club will count toward CCC awards. Be sure to check for "CCC Approval" on premiums or check the directory calendar. CCC State Points Keeper is 8 Oaks Show Services, Don & Gladys Gilbertson and Associates, contact them at email paintshow@8oaksshowservices.com CCC state points are available at most shows, sent to local clubs, and the most current available at www.horseservices.com/ccc California

What is the difference between the various points systems and year-end awards programs? (continued) NCCC Awards
Program NCCC is funded by participating club annual fee, membership dues, horse(s) nomination fees, sponsorships, raffles, and money-making events. All monies go towards year-end awards except a nominal amount paid to a pointskeeper. Most APHA approved shows sponsored by one of the participating clubs counts towards NCCC. Watch the show premiums for NCCC approval. Also, the NCCC rules have listed all the approved shows. To earn NCCC points: NCCC Titles and Awards are based in points earned within categories and in Open, Amateur, Novice Amateur, and Youth Divisions. A minimum of 10 points must be earned for an award. NCCC uses the same points system as CCC. Check the California Paint Horse Directory for the points tabulation guide (or go online to: www.horseservices.com/ccc). The exception is that NCCC gives 2 points for halter grand champion and 1 point for halter reserve champion, whereas, CCC does not give additional halter points. NCCC Awards Ceremony is held as a guest at one of the participating clubs year-end awards banquets. NCCC Membership, Horse Nominations forms, and a copy of horse(s) registration papers must be mailed to the NCCC membership coordinator, June Proctor, 9230 Sunset Blvd West, Pleasant Grove, CA 95668, 916-655-3541. Blank forms are available from clubs or from June Proctor or on line at www.horseservices.com/nccc. NCCC rules and points are posted on line at www.horseservices.com/nccc. NCCC points and the membership lists are available at most NCCC approved shows.
